SIMI trade Exhibition next week
The Society of the Irish Motor Industry’s (SIMI) Trade Exhibition takes place at the Red Cow Hotel, from 2pm to 9pm on Wednesday next , October 22,
The exhibition offers the ideal opportunity to meet with the industry’s aftermarket leaders, who will discuss new products, systems and equipment and provide support and answers.
With the motor industry at the beginning of a fragile recovery, it presents the aftermarket sector with both opportunities and challenges. The SIMI Aftermarket Expo is taking place on the back of strong demand from members and is evidence that the sector is showing signs of increased activity.
Next year, the average age of a car on our roads will be 10 years old, the oldest on record. While an ageing fleet should mean more business for the aftermarket sector, there is a huge challenge, for the Industry as a whole, to encourage motorists to get their vehicle professionally serviced and maintained. Despite a growing need for an increase in repair work, the last few years, especially, we have seen business directed away from professional garages into black market operators.
The event is free to attend, pre-registration is advisable, go to www.simi.ie/tradeexpo
