Spies Hecker has the right solution
Spies Hecker offers bodyshops a clear overview of its offering by classifying products into specific systems.
Spies Hecker has the right solution for nearly every conceivable professional refinish job.
“By ordering our products into different systems we are helping users to identify products and to achieve the optimal outcome for vehicle owners,” says Frank Barduna, Spies Hecker Head of Technical Service International.
The Spies Hecker passenger car systems stand for ease of use and reliability in application. Joachim Hinz, Spies Hecker Brand Manager EMEA, explains: “We have sub-divided this group into the Hi-TEC Performance System, the Classic System and the Base System. Two special systems – Speed Repair and the Plastic System – complete the passenger car range.”
The Hi-TEC Performance System is designed for bodyshops that value high throughput. Hinz says: “What counts for most bodyshops in their day-to-day work is short spray- and idle times, fast drying and an excellent finish.” The Classic System was developed with easy application and reliability in mind, while the Base System is intended for streamlined refinishing. The two additional special systems contain products suitable for the repair of small defects and plastic parts.
“In our Permafleet range, we have the appropriate product systems for applications in the commercial vehicle sector,” says Hinz. The Permafleet range is divided into Hi-Class, Top and Economy systems. “Hi-Class can help to meet even the most demanding paint requirements and is very durable. It is applied in three or four coats. The Top System was developed for streamlined wet-on-wet applications and is also applied in three or four coats. The Economy System is particularly suited to straightforward refinish jobs and applied in two coats – in other words a primer surfacer and a topcoat – just as in the coating for a chassis,” he says. Organised in this way, Permafleet can delivery excellent results – regardless of the size of the job.
Each individual product system has a corresponding colour management system. This begins with the ColorDialog Delta-Scan or ColorDialog spectrophotometer, includes colour samples and colour software, and goes right through to the mixing scales and label printer. The good overview provided by the individual systems helps refinishers to find the product they need. And an online product finder has been added to the Spies Hecker website to allow refinishers to determine quickly which products are best suited to the repair and then to find complementary products in that system.
