Standox calendar wins photography award

For over 30 years, the limited-edition Standox calendar has presented artistic images of beautiful vehicles in unique environments. For the second time, the calendar has now won an official award: five images from the 2012 edition entitled “Timeless Beauty” have been singled out for the “PDN Photography Annual Award 2012”.

The Award recognises important achievements in different fields of professional industrial photography. Organised by renowned US photo magazine “Photo District News”, it is awarded by a jury of highly respected experts. Standox won the Award in the “Corporate Design/Product Photography” category.

The award-winning photos were developed and shot by photographer Dirk Krüll from Düsseldorf. For “Timeless Beauty”, he chose the exciting contrast between the appeal of transience and the never-ending fascination of classic automobiles in their original beauty and colors. He arranged the unique cars in places which, in spite of obvious signs of decay, still exude a timeless appeal. Every photo in the Standox calendar is characterised by an inspiring composition of scenery, light and automobile.
