Standox trains bodyshops to save time materials and energy

Standox is well-known for the quality of its products and its excellent colour matching tools, and the brand’s time-saving one visit application (1VA) process is also proving very popular with bodyshops.

“One visit application is the ideal system for bodyshops wishing to cut down on costs and process times, while still producing the same high-quality finish and first-rate results their customers expect,” explains Jodie Henly, Standox brand specialist. “We offer a comprehensive range of products that work together in the 1VA process, from filler through to clearcoat. To ensure refinishers fully understand the 1VA process and utilise it properly, a new module has now been introduced to some of our training courses that focuses specifically on the 1VA process.”

As part of the Advanced Standohyd Refinishing course, refinishers are introduced to the full package of 1VA-compatible products such as the Standox VOC Nonstop Primer Filler and VOC Express Clear. Refinishers get to see for themselves how the primer, basecoat and clear are applied in rapid succession with no intercoat flash-off and no interruptions. The courses underline the importance of this 1VA process and its time-saving benefits.

“Standox first pioneered 1VA in 1992 and since then we have continued to produce increasingly efficient products that are compatible with this process. In the current economic climate it seems more important than ever to bring 1VA to the attention of bodyshops and to highlight the many competitive advantages of the system,” concludes Henly.
