Standox wins major award

The 2012 Calendar “Timeless Beauty” from Standox has won a  major prize in the US International Photography Awards. Photographer Dirk Krüll from Düsseldorf, who shot the photos for the calendar, was given first place in the “Advertising: Automotive Professional” category. Held on an annual basis, the International Photography Awards are similar in importance to the US Movie Academy’s Oscars. The winners of the individual categories go on to participate in the Lucie Awards in Los Angeles.

Each year for over 30 years, Standox has published a limited edition of its wall calendar. The individual editions are just as exclusive as the vehicles they show. For “Timeless Beauty”, Dirk Krüll photographed cars in places whose obvious age holds a very special fascination. Each picture is a perfect combination of setting, light and a professionally maintained vehicle. Dirk Krüll has designed five calendars for Standox, all of which have attracted great attention at international competitions. “Color Fantasies“, the 2010 Calendar, also won a mention at the International Photography Awards. Dirk Krüll has also shot the photos for the new 2013 Standox Calendar.
