Suppliers get non compliant paint warning

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is warning paint suppliers that it is an offence to supply non-compliant paints.

Bodyshop.ie has learned that the EPA in conjunction with the Local Authorities will be carrying out enforcement activities during the remainder of the year, and will be spot-checking premises for evidence of non-compliant paint sales.

Bodyshop.ie has also learned that new legislation will be introduced shortly which will allow for fixed payment notices (i.e. ‘on-the-spot fines’) to be issued for any offences specified in the revied Deco-Paints regulations.

Further news, updates and information can be obtained at the following website and by contacting your relevant Local Authority.
