Survey finds 76 per cent of employers expect to hire in 2015
More than three-quarters of employers plan to hire additional staff in 2015, according to the findings of a new survey.
Recruitment group Hays report that their survey found that 71 per cent of employers increased their staff numbers in the last year, while 76 per cent plan to do so in next year.
The survey found that the most important aspects of a job package for employees are, salary, career development and work-life balance, with job security just fourth in line. The latter was the top priority for employers.
The survey’s findings also show that 54 per cent of workers expect a pay rise in 2015 while perhaps more surprisingly, 48 per cent expect a bonus. This survey doesn’t differentiate but findings we read elsewhere show that employees that had severe pay and/or hours cuts since 2008, are leading the charge to get pay increases now. Those who did not have any cuts to their packages will have a much reduced case for increases in the short-term.
