TecDoc CATALOG adds new functions
To celebrate the first anniversary of the rebranding of TecAlliance GmbH’s repair and maintenance information arm from AuDaCon to TecRMI, TecDoc the specialist service provider, is launching a series of new features to its CATALOG system.
With the integration of TecRMI WebService 4.0, TecDoc CATALOG users with Version 03/2014 and onwards will be able to use the integrated car and commercial vehicle VIN Filter (Vehicle Identification Number) and benefit from new filtering options in ‘vehicle search’.
This development provides a major advantage to users in all markets, but especially for those in the commercial vehicle sector. It is also possible to get car repair information with just a few ‘clicks’ by using the graphic selection search of the TecDoc WEB CATALOG.
“With our current and future cross-product and cross-brand developments, we want above all to continue to improve the benefits for our customers,” says Jürgen Buchert, CEO of TecAlliance GmbH, “and thanks to the synergies of our alliance of brands, we are well prepared for the future.
“Access to TecRMI commercial vehicle data rose by 20 per cent between 2012 and 2013 and the current forecast for 2014 exceeds this growth rate by a large margin. For us this is a signal that the TecRMI brand has been accepted by the market and it is our goal to provide new customer-friendly tools to make TecRMI even better known and even more successful.”
In addition to the integration of TecRMI WebService 4.0 into TecDoc CATALOG, TecRMI provides additional search options in the stored basic data for the vehicle inventory.
Independent of TecDoc CATALOG, the graphic search for replacement parts and repair information developed by TecRMI, is a fast new way to determine the right selection of parts. The new services also give the TecRMI data user the possibility to implement this new kind of search function in his individual application. This has been made possible by the filter technology developed by TecRMI, which on request, only shows the product groups that are actually stored in the respective catalogue (generic articles) for selection.
TecAlliance GmbH was formed in 2013 from the merger of three leading pan-European service providers for vehicle replacement parts, repair and maintenance information in the automotive aftermarket – TecDoc Informations System GmbH, TecCom GmbH and TecRMI, previously AuDaCon AG.
