The gathering pace of product development at Europe’s leading parts information data provider TecDoc, continues with the announcement that workshop equipment is to be added to the latest Version 4 update to its CATALOG electronic catalogue.
The addition means that product data for workshop equipment, tools, workshop requirements, job safety, engineering standards and standardised parts, will also be available as content for TecDoc’s other service products.
“We have recently added motorcycles to the TecDoc reference data, but the addition of product data for the workshop area means the product is even more useful to workshops, where decisions about purchasing the correct tools or the most suitable capital equipment is so crucial,” said commercial director for UK and ROI, Shaun Greasley.
The new product data element for workshop equipment, tools and special tools will be available for linkages starting in May, so that for Automechanika (catalogue version 04/2014), it will be included in catalogues for the independent aftermarket. Standardised product information for workshop requirements, engineering standards and standard parts, and job safety will then follow in November 2014 and be added to the TecDoc catalogue system in April 2015 with catalogue version 02/2015.
