Tetrosyl Ireland appoints Frank Gleeson to board role

Tetrosyl Ireland has announced the appointment of Frank Gleeson, former chief executive of Aramark Northern Europe and past president of IBEC, to its board as an advisor.

According to Tetrosyl Ireland, Gleeson’s addition marks “a substantial enhancement” to the business as it continues to expand its presence in the automotive and household products sectors.

The company adds that Gleeson’s extensive background, including his leadership at food company Aramark, where he oversaw operations across Ireland, the UK, and a global offshore business, and his roles at IBEC, NORA, and NACS, positions him perfectly to spearhead Tetrosyl Ireland’s expansion into the petrol forecourt and convenience store channel.

“Tetrosyl Ireland is excited to welcome Frank Gleeson to our board,” said David Byrne, managing director at Tetrosyl Ireland. “His profound industry knowledge and extensive network will be pivotal as we expand our presence in the automotive, hardware, and convenience retail markets.”

“I have been extremely impressed by the Tetrosyl Ireland team and its capability to deliver a whole-of category solution for car care and maintenance sectors,” said Gleeson, “and I’m looking forward to supporting David and the Irish team with its expansion in Ireland and beyond.”

The Tetrosyl Group is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of car care products in Europe. It offers a comprehensive product range including valeting, winter, crash repair, automotive parts, paint, and home improvement items.

Operating from its newly renovated offices, showrooms, and distribution centre in Ballycoolin, Dublin 11, Tetrosyl Ireland currently employs 12 full-time staff. The company says it expects to double its workforce over the next 12 months.

Tetrosyl Ireland will be exhibiting at Auto Trade EXPO 2024, which takes place alongside the CV Workshop EXPO at the RDS in Dublin from 12th-13th October.
