Trico beam blade kits prove a hit

Wiper blade manufacturer Trico recently launched beam blade kits for its premium Exact Fit range, and it says they’re already proving a success with customers.

Trico’s premium quality original equipment (OE) wiper blade kits have been available to the public since January 2022, and have proven to be easy to stock, sell and fit, as just one SKU has both front blades for the vehicle.

Packaged in an eco-friendly carton, the range is comprised of just 95 references – 73 direct fit kits for OE beam blade applications, and 22 ‘retrofit’ kits for hybrid and upgrade applications – in total covering more than 95 per cent of the beam blade vehicle parc.

Trico claims that due to its ‘superkit’ design that comes with an optional alternative connector, this is over 40 per cent less stock than competitor ranges, which often require in excess of 150 SKUs to attain the same coverage.

The new kits contain two of Trico’s ‘X1’ design blades manufactured and packaged in Europe. Trico supplies this same blade as OE to VAG, for a multitude of vehicles including the VW ID4, Golf VIII, T-Roc, Audi Q4, Q5, Q7, TT, Skoda Citigo, Kodiaq, Superb, Seat Ibiza, Leon, Rapid and Mi.

Trico group brand & marketing manager (Europe), Sam Robinson, said: “The introduction of these beam blade kits has been a game changer for Trico.

“While previously, we exclusively sold our OE wipers singularly, now customers have the benefit of buying a complete kit with everything they need provided for them, with the reassurance that they are buying the exact same quality product that we are trusted to deliver to vehicle manufacturers across Europe.

“We’re thrilled that the beam blade kit has been such a success with our customers, as well as the end user, and as it’s helped increase sales, long may it continue!”

Trico will be exhibiting at this year’s Auto Trade EXPO, which takes place from Saturday and Sunday, October 15-16 at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin.
