Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles were the number-one selling light commercial vehicle brand in 2012. According to figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) which includes car-derived vans, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles claimed 21.4% market share in 2012.
Excluding the car-derived vans, Volkswagen claimed 26.9% market share in the core commercial vehicle segment, with 2,258 new units in 2012, 587 units ahead of their nearest rival. The Caddy was the most popular of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles range, followed by the Transporter.
