Volvo and Renault create new electric vans business

Following binding joint venture agreements signed last October, Volvo Group and Renault Group have obtained all the required regulatory approvals and have now officially launched their new company, Flexis SAS.

The new company will be based in France and will build fully-electric vans to “address the growing needs of decarbonised and efficient urban logistics”.

Volvo Group and Renault Group will each invest €300 million into Flexis SAS, over the next three years.

The new range of fully-electric vans will be based on a Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) platform, with production set to commence in 2026.
