VRA welcomes regulations review
The Irish Bodyshop Journal, out on Monday can reveal that the Vehicle Repairers Association (VRA) has welcomed the news that the present system of environmental regulation of the vehicle refinishing industry in Ireland is to be reviewed and reformed.
The VRA understands that the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government (DECLG) will release revised draft regulations later this year and the VRA believes that these will address issues that it has raised with the DECLG and implementing body the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The review comes after lobbying of the EPA and DECLG by the VRA. The VRA syas it has forcefully presented the views of members on this issue, highlighting the present failing of the system.
