Delegates from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) attended the recent Annual General Meeting of AIRC (Association Internationale des Reparateurs en Carrosserie), the world representative body for crash repair companies.

Alan Lyons has been elected President of the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) at the organisation’s 44th AGM, held at Croke Park.

The SIMI (Society of the Irish Motor Industry) has launched a scheme, which it claims will “professionalise car servicing in Ireland”.

The Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) is calling on the Government to introduce a second registration plate mid year, which would have the effect of creating a second sales peak in the year, which would maintain and stabilise jobs.
