Free upcoming EV dismantling training in Kildare and Monaghan

ELVES, the approved End-of-Life-Vehicle (ELV) compliance scheme for Ireland, is set to once again offer free EV (electric vehicle) dismantling training to Authorised Treatment Facilities (permitted scrapyards) across the country.

ELVES’ EV training programme for ATFs has been running since 2019 and has seen training delivered to over 200 ATF staff so far.

This round of training will be offered in Naas, Co Kildare and Scotstown, Co Monaghan from 11-13th November, providing ATFs the opportunity to gain a level 2 and/or level 3 qualification as an EV dismantling technician.

The training will be delivered by Salvage Wire Ltd, a specialist in EV training for ATFs. The training provides ATF staff with a grounding in EV safety, including the key steps involved in safely removing a battery from an end-of-life electric vehicle.
