New £13.5m Mallusk MOT centre opens
A new £13.5 million MOT test centre has opened in Mallusk, Co Antrim, providing capacity for 100,000 vehicle tests a year.
The new centre includes a 10-lane testing area, seven ramp-based lanes for light vehicles, two lanes for heavy vehicle testing, and a dedicated bay for motorcycle testing.
The project also has a new internal road network, car parking, and an off-road motorcycle driving test track.
Liz Kimmins, Minister for Infrastructure, said the completion of the new Mallusk test centre is “an important milestone in strengthening the future of vehicle testing” in Northern Ireland.
