Now, Axalta is introducing brand names for the principal coating layers supplied to its customers that manufacture light vehicles and automotive plastic parts. The addition of names will make it easier for customers to understand Axalta\u2019s product offerings in this key segment of the coatings industry as well as to differentiate better the company\u2019s technologies in the marketplace.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-13608\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bodyshop.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Axalta-Light-Vehicle-Rebranding-advert-copy.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"327\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bodyshop.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Axalta-Light-Vehicle-Rebranding-advert-copy.jpg 630w, https:\/\/www.bodyshop.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Axalta-Light-Vehicle-Rebranding-advert-copy-233x300.jpg 233w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 327px) 100vw, 327px\" \/><br \/>\nFour coating layers will be named in the new brand taxonomy. Axalta\u2019s primers will be known as HyperDur\u2122 a name designed to convey optimised film smoothness and adhesion properties. A special pre-coat known as HyperDyne\u2122 will be the designation for the foundation layer used in Axalta\u2019s 3-Wet\u2122 waterborne and solventborne Harmonized Coating Systems\u2122 that enable wet-on-wet application of the primer, basecoat and clearcoat layer. Axalta\u2019s leading basecoat colours will fall under the brand name ChromaDyne\u2122, connoting an array of chromatic attributes and effects. Finally, Axalta\u2019s range of clearcoats, offering the ultimate in finish protection, gloss and appearance, will be known as Lumeera\u2122.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we build the Axalta brand, it is important we capture the value our durable paint layers provide as they perform consistently under the toughest road and weather conditions and continually appeal to car buyers,\u201d said Steven R. Markevich, Axalta Executive Vice President and President, Transportation Coatings and Greater China. \u201cThis taxonomy will help us communicate with customers and allow us to introduce new products in memorable ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>These names \u2013 exclusive to Axalta\u2019s Light Vehicle OEM and automotive plastics coatings products \u2013 complement the well-established AquaEC\u2122 name for Axalta\u2019s entire electrocoat (E-coat) product line.
