<\/p>\nInnovation platform Plug and Play, the world’s largest startup accelerator, has presented Hella with its \u201cCorporate Innovation Award 2017\u201d in the Mobility category, thereby recognising the automotive supplier’s extraordinary commitment. Plug and Play aims to promote exchange among established industrial companies, investors and mentors, as well as agile startup companies. Hella\u2019s focus areas include questions regarding digitalisation, autonomous driving and electric mobility.<\/p>\n

In May 2017, Hella organised a \u201cStartup Demo Day\u201d at the Plug and Play headquarters in Sunnyvale, California. More than half a dozen startup companies used the opportunity to present their business models to more than 200 representatives of the international automotive industry.
\nHella joined Plug and Play in October 2015 and has greatly promoted startup initiatives ever since.<\/p>\n
Last year, the automotive supplier expanded its commitment to the Plug and Play platform to China and aims to intensify its cooperation with local Chinese startups in particular. Together with additional partners, Hella is also planning the construction of a \u201cDigital Innovation Campus\u201d at its Lippstadt company headquarters. Founding a regional innovation lab is also anticipated and is intended to act as an incubator and startup centre, while strengthening local innovation and startup culture.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
