Non-compliant bodyshops are facing on the spot fines for \u20ac1,000, under new powers given to local authorities , the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has warned.<\/p>\n

All such operators are advised to ensure that they are in compliance with the requirements of the Decorative Paints Regulations (S.I. No. 564 of 2012).<\/p>\n

In particular all bodyshops must apply for and obtain a Certificate of Compliance from their local authority. Bodyshops are reminded that they should allow plenty of time for renewal of their Certificate of Compliance.<\/p>\n

Soltec (Ireland) Ltd offers a comprehensive pre-audit preparation service and necessary equipment, including supply safety spill kits, two barrel bunds and a full range of gun wash cleaners.<\/p>\n

It says it uses its extensive experience in waste management to look at bodyshops and highlight areas that inspectors may have concerns.<\/p>\n
