ELVES sponsoring UCD triathlon team

ELVES, Ireland’s approved compliance scheme for end-of-life vehicles (ELVs), has announced its sponsorship of the University College Dublin (UCD) triathlon team for the upcoming season.

The sponsorship will support the team’s participation in competitions throughout Ireland and beyond, whilst also helping to promote awareness of environmental responsibility and sustainable practices among students and the wider community.

ELVES said the partnership reflects its commitment to supporting sustainability, healthy lifestyles and supporting the next generation of Irish talent.

As Ireland’s national compliance scheme for end-of-life vehicles, ELVES works to ensure that vehicles are recycled and recovered responsibly, helping to reduce environmental impact while promoting a circular economy.

Through this sponsorship, ELVES said it is investing in one of Ireland’s most successful university triathlon clubs, supporting student-athletes as they compete at national and international level while balancing academic excellence with sporting achievement.

Speaking about the partnership, Fiacra Quinn, CEO of ELVES commented: “At ELVES, we’re committed to making a positive impact on environment and community. The UCD Triathlon Team embodies values that closely align with our own. We are delighted to support these talented athletes as they pursue their sporting ambitions.”

Captain of the UCD triathlon team, Steven Whitehead, welcomed the sponsorship: “We’re incredibly grateful to ELVES for their support. Sponsorship plays a vital role in helping our athletes access competitions, training opportunities, and equipment throughout the season. We’re excited to partner with an organisation that shares our commitment to creating a positive impact.”

ELVES encourages all vehicle owners to ensure that their end-of-life vehicles are disposed of through authorised treatment facilities, helping recover valuable materials and protect the environment.
