Mackins Accident Repair Centre retains ‘Platinum Level’ bodyshop accreditation

Newry-based Mackins Accident Repair Centre has retained its ‘Platinum Level’ bodyshop accreditation at the recent NBRA/VBRA Greener Bodyshop Awards in Birmingham.

The awards were introduced to showcase the collision repair industry’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, and recognise those businesses who have delivered exceptional green practices.

The UK’s National Body Repair Association (NBRA) said that more businesses than ever entered the competition this year, raising the standard even further and making competition as tough as it has been.

Company director Patrick Mackin collected the accreditation at the 2025 Greener Bodyshop Awards, and said the achievement is “a huge credit to our incredible team, our loyal customers, and the wider community who continue to support us on this journey”.

In more local news for the company, Mackins Accident Repair Centre also won the ‘Best Small Business’ at last week’s 10th Greater Newry Business Awards, while Patrick Mackin took the ‘Best Young Businessman’ award.

It continues an impressive 12-month awards haul for Mackins Accident Repair Centre, which was also named Bodyshop of the Year for Northern Ireland at the 2025 Irish Auto Trade Awards, held last October at the Auto Trade EXPO in the RDS, Dublin.
