Stellantis begins production of cargo box electric vans
Stellantis Pro One, the commercial vehicle arm of Stellantis, has commenced production of the cargo box electric vans at its Atessa plant in Italy.
The cargo box vans are electric chassis cabs versions of the Citroen Relay, Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Opel/Vauxhall Movano.

According to Stellantis Pro One, they will sit on a 110 kWh battery delivering 410 Nm of maximum torque and a power output of 200 kW (270 hp), with a claimed range of up to 323km.
Maximum AC charging has been doubled to 22kW as standard, enabling a full recharge in around six hours. Cargo capacity of the cargo box vans will be 18.3 cubic metres, or 20.5 cubic metres for the L4 configuration.

The conversions will primarily take place at the Atessa plant (pictured), which is able to produce 1,200 different van configurations, including camper vans, through Stellantis Pro One’s ‘CustomFit’ programme.
With over 1.2 million square metres of surface area, the Atessa plant comprises 15km of assembly line production, the largest bodyshop owned by Stellantis and an evolving paint shop to meet the latest energy and environmental sustainability criteria.
Anne Abboud, head of Stellantis Pro One said: “The launch of the cargo box BEV confirms the path of excellence of this plant dedicated to proactively and quickly meeting the needs of our professional customers, according to the principles of efficiency, maximum quality, and time to market. Stellantis Pro One’s offer is unmatched in terms of range breadth and flexibility”.
